Scholarship Program

The 2025 Elaine C. Watson Scholarship Program application period will open in January, 2025. We look forward to reviewing your submissions!

To apply for scholarships offered by The Lynchburg Alumnae Chapter Scholarship Program, you must:

• Be a current high school senior attending a public, private, charter or parochial high school.
• Have an overall grade point average of 2.75 or higher (based on a 4.0 non-weighted scale).
• Intend to enroll in a full-time program at an accredited college, university, or institution of equivalent Accreditation during the 2025-2026 academic year.
• Submit an application by March 21, 2025, signed in black or blue ink, by you and your parent/guardian and include:
  - An official signed transcript in a separate sealed envelope (does not have to be mailed separately)
  - Two (2) letters of recommendation
  - A one-page essay highlighting your need for the Scholarship, your community service involvement, leadership activities, and college and career goals.
• Participate in an interview as part of the selection process tentatively scheduled for April 2025.
• Provide a senior picture if selected for the scholarship (jpeg format).
• Provide verification of college enrollment before you can receive the scholarship.
• Participate in other award celebrations as called upon by the Lynchburg Alumnae Chapter.

* Children of Lynchburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., members are ineligible to apply.
